BE FESTIVAL exists to challenge and turn the notion of theatre upside down, crossing borders, creative disciplines and blurring boundaries between audiences and artists.

A Message from the Chair of the Board

 
From the ground-breaking idea of its founders, Isla Aguilar, Miguel Oyarzun and Mike Tweddle in 2010, BE FESTIVAL rapidly grew into an unmissable annual event.


The 2022 edition will be the last to be curated by Isla and Miguel as they step down and the Festival takes on a new identity. The BE Board thanks and congratulates them for all they have achieved in creating this unique contemporary arts experience to Birmingham. It has been a thrilling ride!
