Award Winners 2017

 BE FESTIVAL 1st Prize (Supported by Birmingham REP) 
£1500 plus a fully supported two-week creative residency in Birmingham and a performance of the full-length version of the winning show at next year’s festival.

Winner: REVOLT ATHENΣ by ODC ENSEMBLE/Vyrsodepseio (Greece) 

 

 


ACT Festival Prize
The winning performance will be programmed and supported at the Bilbao’s ACT Festival in June 2018.

Winner: What Does Stuff Do? by Robin Boon Dale – Performer (UK)

 

 


Mess Festival Prize

The winning performance will be programmed and supported at the International Theatre Festival MESS in Sarajevo in autumn 2018.

Winner: PALMYRA by Bertrand Lesca & Nasi Voutsas (UK)

 

 


Champ Libre Festival Prize
The winning company will be invited to take part in a supported residency and a public performance taking place in Saint Junien, France in 2018.

Winner: All the Voices by Tante&Tante (UK/Greece)

 

 

 

Teatro Libero di Palermo Prize

The winning company will be awarded either a week-long residency or a full version performance of their work at the 2018 edition of the Festival Presente Futuro in Italy.

Winner: Everything is OK by Marco D’Agostin (Italy)

 

 

 

Audience Prize

Every night, each audience member will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite show with the most popular to be awarded the Audience Prize. 

Winner: Solitudes by Kulunka Teatro (Spain)

 

 

 

Early Ideas Prize
The winner of this prize will get to perform the full version of their show at BE FESTIVAL 2018 

Winner: We’ve Got Each Other by Paul O’Donnell (UK)
