Inclusivity is at the heart of BE FESTIVAL’s manifesto and BE Next is testament to our ongoing commitment to provide opportunities for young people to learn life skills through performing arts. Alongside two other workshops in the spring and autumn, the annual festival performance is the culmination of a week’s summer workshopping by local 14-19 year olds in Birmingham. It can take any shape and any form but it’s always a highlight of our Saturday night. The project is specifically aimed at young people who speak English as an additional language and come from marginalised backgrounds.
“BE Next is an art itself. For me, it is a programme designed to better yourself and break past barriers and limits.” Mohammed Irfan Arshad – Participant
