Fluid and natural movement with Marielle Morales

Through floor work we will explore natural approaches to movement whilst aiming to go further in physicality and deepen our movement quality. We will place special attention on centre, support and gravity, employing energetic material and by prioritising fluidity and breath.

Marielle Morales studied at the Dance Conservatory of Bordeaux where she received the two highest prizes in 1996. As a dancer-performer she has worked with companies such as Provisional Danza, Sol Pico, Pierre Droulers, Thierry de Mey and Michèle Noiret. In 2004 she founded the Mala Hierba dance company in Brussels. The company’s repertoire includes BE 2010 and 2011 award-winning performances Un gouffre sous l’épaule, and Le Pli. She has taught in international festivals and in art schools in France, Tunisia, Spain and Holland. In Brussels, she is a regular teacher in La Raffinerie and DCJ, and she trains companies such as Michèle-Anne de Mey and Need Company.
