Best of BE 2017: 21 APRIL – 8 MAY Be Festival

We Are Brontë by Publick Transport (UK, 30 mins)

The real and imaginary worlds of Yorkshire’s literary siblings  are portrayed in a madcap mixture of physical theatre, farcical humour and comedy impro. The duo deconstruct gothic themes of love, madness, repression and revenge and the play reconfigures into an enquiry about what makes a good play, with hilarious effect. Truly irreverent and probably the most out-of-the ordinary adaptation of the Brontë story to be born. Publick Transport have created five shows to date. We Are Brontë was devised by Angus Barr and Sarah Corbett, directed by Ed Rapley.

This show is a shortened version of the full production (full length 60 mins).
