Mimprovistaion – Monday 2 July & Little Sister – Tuesday 3 July @mac

Following Monday night’s performance, you are
invited to witness an original physical theatre event that is currently taking Paris by storm…

Mimprovisation
an original concept by Autour du Mime
and Pas de Dieux (France)

Following in the tradition of the comedy impro night where the audience decides what happens, this is a non-verbal impro night for mimes, dancers and actors. Collaborating with local live musicians who are also improvising, an international group of performers creates unforgettable scenes from scratch – each one lasting no more than 3 minutes – with nothing more than a title, some stage lights and their spontaneity at their disposal. Mimprovisation was premiered in the UK as part of BE 2011 and was an exhilarating, unique event that we are excited to present again.

Before and after Tuesday night’s performance,
you can enjoy the unique sounds of Birmingham’s own
Little Sister.

Homegrown Little Sister combine 1930s-style vocal harmonies and ragtime-electric guitar with accordion, washboard and the sweet sound of violin and classical harp.
