BE FESTIVAL welcomes the support package announced by the UK government earlier this week which recognises the cultural and economic impact of the arts organisations, festivals and individuals in the country. Looking at the situation in the rest of Europe, we feel privileged and wish other governments act in the same direction across the continent.
We hope that the funds will be distributed in a representative and inclusive way in order to sustain the important and diverse cultural landscape and that venues will be able to open again soon and continue to thrive with the work of others.
