The last few years have undeniably shifted the landscape of the cultural sector in the world as well as in Birmingham. BE FESTIVAL has been a feature of West Midlands arts ecology for the past 13 years, dedicated to bringing a range of international artists and work to Birmingham audiences, and opening a space for connections and conversation.
Times are changing and like many other organisations BE FESTIVAL is closing a circle and this will be the last BE FESTIVAL.
Old models give way to new ways of working in a time where we have to re-think what we need. What do the new makers and artists in the city need? Where are the gaps left by a changing cultural sector? And, what will be the lasting legacy of the Festival, and in a changing cultural landscape what does the future hold for international collaborations?
This is a free event, we welcome everyone who works or has an interest in the arts and would like to be part of it. Turn up and join this conversation.
