The workshop combines elements of Annie’s ongoing work with improvisation, performance, choreography and biodynamic craniosacral therapy. In the context of increased disembodiment and segregation in the modern world, how do we/can we come into relationship with ourselves and others?
Through a series of guided scores Annie will facilitate some anatomical explorations, observing and directing attention to our physical sensations as starting points to dance a lot, chat a bit and think lightly about how this all connects up with life or not.
Touch and partnering work will be used in the class.
Suitable for professional dancers, movement practitioners and/or anyone with a keen desire to move.
Annie is a freelance dance artist since 1999 and a biodynamic craniosacral therapist (BCST) since 2014. She works with live performance in processes that are experimental and collaborative.
Teaching and facilitation remain a key part of her practice and she has taught in numerous community, professional and Higher Education settings. She also works part-time as Co-Artistic Director of Siobhan Davies Studios
