Scratch performance by BE Next (UK)

BE Next is BE FESTIVAL’s free theatre training opportunity for young people aged 14 – 19 based in Birmingham. Participants attend 7 afternoon workshops, this year led by BE 2012 artists Manuel Bonillo (Vladmir Tzekov, Spain) and Simon Day (The Plasticine Men, UK) learning physical, ensemble and devising skills, resulting in a short piece to be scratched at the festival.

The programme is targeted at young people who speak English as a second language or who speak a second language at home. BE Next is co-produced by DanceXchange and Birmingham REP who will present a developed version of the performance the 7th and 8th September in Centenary Square.
