Artaud, music and the performer’s body with Manuel Bonillo (Vladimir Tzekov)

How to communicate with the audience once we’re not interested in using a character or our personality? An introduction to a training for the complete performer’s body (including voice, movement and interpretation) in order to reach a communicative separation from the audience, to create a contradictory and yet emotionally and intellectually engaging relationship with them. And an introduction to the use of musical categories and structures as a means to create a unified piece.

Manuel is an artistic director of Granada-based theatre collective Vladimir Tzekov, who won the BE 2012 Special Mention for Mise en Scene with their show Fantasy No.10: ‘The Beauty of Life’. He has directed the company’s ten productions. He is also a pianist, a classical singer, a philosophy and dance student and a teacher.
